Happy Wednesday everyone! Except that I actually thought today was Thursday and I stressed myself out worrying about my homework due on Friday (which, FYI, I still haven’t started).
To recap, I’ve covered invitations, locations, party favors and t-shirt’s for your favorite bride’s Barbie Bachelorette. If in case you’re unable to make it to the Palms Barbie Suite in Vegas, this post will be all about the decorations you can make to create your own Barbie Dreamhouse.
BridalGuide and Hostess with the Mostess have already done posts on Barbie-themed decorations, both of which I recommend checking out. If only we weren’t traveling to Puerto Rico for A’s bachelorette, I would spend the next few days making a sparkly oversized Barbie box, so that we could all dress up like our favorite Barbie doll and strike a plastic pose for photos. As I’m flying JetBlue and can check a bag at no extra cost, I plan on filling one piece of luggage with all of the free print-outs that Hostess with the Mostess offers to decorate the hotel walls with. My favorite one is Barbie’s iconic silhouette, dolled up with a string of pearls and a Tiffany colored bow.
To help cover the rest of the hotel walls, or whatever space you’re having the bachelorette in, decorate them with circle garland. They come pre-made on Etsy, or you can make your own using a large circle punch, pink cardstock, and some ribbon. It may be slightly more expensive to make your own instead of buying one from Etsy, but you’d have the freedom to diversify it with a scalloped hole punch and glitter cardstock.
Set up a snacking table, decorated perfectly with a pink tablecloth, Barbie glasses, straws, and Barbie cupcakes. It could just be the focal point of the Bachelorette, second to the bride of course!
