So I know shampoo doesn’t relate at all to the theme of my website, but how can I say no to trying out new hair products?

I will admit that I had some trepidation about trying Pantene products after my previous experience with Pantene’s Sheer Volume conditioner. Although it was an excellent conditioner in that it didn’t weigh my hair down, it wasn’t very good at restoring moisture to my hair.

Review

Everybody does it. You’ll spend an hour in the shampoo aisle at CVS popping the tops on all of the shampoo bottles, only to buy the same shampoo that you already have in your shower. Still, there’s something inviting about the smell of mangoes in the morning that makes you dream of warm beaches and sunny days. As soon as I took Pantene’s Full & Strong Shampoo and Conditioner out of the box, I popped the top on them just to see how they smelled. The shampoo is definitely more fruity than floral, with a faint hint of apples. I would say the conditioner smells the same, but it has a more muted scent that is hard to describe.

The next morning I put aside my usual shampoo and conditioner to try my new Pantene products. It was especially convenient as I was running short on shampoo. I let my hair air-dry and I wore it down for most of the day, until the static drove me to tie it back My hair tends to get really dry in the winter and unless I heavily moisturize it, it’s too annoying to deal with. I quickly replaced Pantene’s conditioner with my old OGX one but I continued to use Pantene’s Full & Strong Shampoo. Prior to using Pantene, little strands of hair would always be floating in the air after I brushed my hair at night, but my hair really was a lot more resilient after using this shampoo. It doesn’t weigh down my fine hair and there’s a lot less hair on my brush or caught in my hair tie.

Along with the shampoo and conditioner, I was given a small aerosol of Pantene’s Blowout Extend Dry Shampoo. First off, I love the name. How many times have you spent at least a half an hour doing your hair and then been reluctant to shower the next day so that all of your hard work wouldn’t go to waste? It has a very strong clean scent that lingers for a while after you spray it. I used it on my hair a full 24 hours after I had last showered and I was pleased to see that it restored volume and shine and basically made me look like less of a grungeball. It’s definitely, without a doubt, something I would buy again.
