Down the Rabbit Hole

Princess Tea Party

Last Thursday, a spontaneous pizza dinner out turned into an even more spontaneous beer-tasting party at my apartment. I always had an affinity for beer, particularly stouts, but unfortunately the craft-beer scene in Storrs, CT is nothing compared to what it is in Philadelphia. Nonetheless, our location does put us in close proximity to Treehouse Brewing, a small artisan brewery responsible for Julius, and we’re relatively close to the distributors of Heady Topper and Sip of Sunshine. I had none of those on hand last Thursday, but we did enjoy sampling Southern Tier’s Creme Brulee Stout, Grey Sail Captain’s Daughter, and my favorite, Treehouse Brewing’s Alter Ego. (If it’s not evident by my writing of this blog, I would love a career as a professional hostess.) Kate Spade Tea TIme PendantIn my typical fashion, I ended Thursday night with a pot of tea, served using my complete Cath Kidston Provence Rose tea set. Too bad hostess gifts are somewhat out of date, or else I would love to receive Kate Spade’s Tea Time Pendant. How can I describe the need for something so darling, so perfect, and just so quintessential Kate Spade? All I can say to my friends is that soon I’ll be hosting a party and I suggest consulting Emily Post before showing up. I wouldn’t be surprised if she herself lists this necklace as the perfect party gift.
