Oh shift! Only 12 more hours till the Lilly Pulitzer After-Party Sale! Somewhat behind the trend, I honestly didn’t embrace Lilly till I bought myself a 2015 Lilly Pulitzer agenda and I loved all of the bright colors and patterns adorning the pages. Next came Lilly for Target, which I know was only a derivative of the Lilly brand, but seriously, throwing on a shift dress and a pair of Sperry’s takes almost no-effort and produces a 100% put-together outfit. I’m still not tempted to spend $200 for any of Lilly’s brightly colored well-fitting dresses, but I’m always up for snagging something at a deep discount. I still haven’t accepted that I’m no longer fifteen minutes away from an outlet mall, where I’ve found Black Label Ralph Lauren at 90% off or some of my favorite BCBG Maxazaria dresses for less than $30. As I’ve just spent the past two weeks traveling from DC to NJ, and then having my car fixed, I only have enough room in my budget for one thing – the Marlowe dress in Resort White Red Right Return.
It would be my first real Lilly Pulitzer purchase, and at $98 full price, I’m hoping that it’ll sink below $50. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it’ll be listed (and that I don’t sleep through my alarm). Since this is my first time shopping the Lilly Pulitzer After-Party Sale, I’ve done some research and found some great tips & tricks from fellow bloggers:
“Check Lilly Pulitzer Signature Stores for products. They’re allowed to participate in the sale as well, but Lilly fans often forget to check in with them. Because of this, they often have some of the best stuff, long after products sell out online!” (Kelly in the City)
