Do you remember the movie Pleasantville? Toby McGuire and Reese Witherspoon get thrown into a black and white TV show, only to throw everything topsy-turvy and cause people to start appearing in Technicolor. Their totally crazy adventure was the result of an odd encounter with a TV repair man, who is sadly not listed in the YellowPages or Angie’s List. To top off Comcast’s reputation for having the worst customer service, never once has a Comcast technician left behind a broken remote that magically transported me into Stars Hollow. I secretly think it must exist somewhere in CT, but not being a CT native, no one’s going to spill the secret to a Jersey girl.
There’s a lot of things that I’d do if I actually could go to Stars Hollow (basically everything on this list),but in the meantime, I’ll just have to brew my own coffee and ask my room mate to act like a grumpy Luke Danes. It’d be fairly easy for her to dress the part – flannel, backwards baseball cap, and an olive-green military jacket. Re-creating a classic Luke Danes outfit would be a great Halloween costume, and as I’m normally one who waits till the week before, maybe having to buy a cute jacket will entice me to start working on putting together my Halloween costume early. This one from Nordstrom and J. Crew are my favorites, and to boost either’s cost per wear, I can always style it with this Joie striped sweater underneath!
